    Karate Monkey Question

Hey there, what’s the smallest tire size (27.5) I could get away with without having too many pedal strikes from lowering the BB on a rigid 2020 KM?

I need another wheelset for occasional bikepacking, city errands and gravel stuff (which will have gnarlier sections) and a plus size tire is overkill.

I know I can do a 29er wheelset but only interested in 27.5.

    Thanks!

I run 27.5 x 2.4, fast af. Avoiding pedal strikes is just another skill to develop and add to the dance. 2.8 gives you fewer worries. Run the shortest crank arms that feel natural to you.
