Jamis Dragon Pro ahead of it's time

This bike was originally marketed as a XC bike. It came with a 120mm white brothers fork and a 68hta. Is this where 650b XC bikes are headed? Something more suited for tight twisty rooty trails? Like you find on the east coast and southeast?

My girlfriend had a 2006 Kona kikapu, 100mm front and rear. Came with a 50mm stem and 68 degree head angle.

It was a short bike though, with a slack seat tube. Modern geometry is a complete package.
