Jamis Dakar B1/B2 and BB height

2010 or 2011 are both the same. Listed at 13.42" (340.86mm)

Anyone own one of these bikes and ride in very rocky terrain like New England?

I'm concerned about repeated pedal strikes with what I consider a marginal BB height for really technical riding.

Also it's got 17.7" chain stays. That's 29'r territory. Fantastic mud clearance but those are some long stays. I'm wondering if that helps stability and might actually aid climbing. Interestingly with the long stays wheel bases are still in the 26'r range for a given size so all is good I think.

i have a b1 2010 , ride i the lehigh valley pa area so lots of rocks and roots , climbs pretty good , stable for sure , bb is low , i ussually ride my 650b-ed ventana if going for the rougher stuff , the b1 sees duty w/ 26" wheels sometimes and on smoother trails handles awesome like that .

    the shock blows
