Intense Carbine 27.5 Vs Kona Process

Title says it all. Looking for a 27.5 XC/trailbike that will handle some occasional bike park stuff and above normal XC drops.

Ive been eying the Kona Process 134 and 153, and started looking at the Intense Carbine 27.5 too.

I'm coming off a Jet 9 with 80/100 mm travel, and want to keep the weight down to 26-27 pounds. I will be doing a build and buying frame only.

How do these bikes compare? I know the travel is plenty. Looking at weight, standover, and handling more than anything.

    Thanks in advance!

Given your weight goal, imo the Process would be shooting yourself in the foot. I have a 153 and like it, but it's no lightweight.

Is it a factory build, or did you build it? Any idea on frame weight?

Factory build of the cheaper, heavier one. I'm sorry I don't know the frame weight. It's well over 30 lbs. From what I think I've read around you'd need to drop at least 5 lbs from the oem build to approach your goal. I suppose when I said what I said, I didn't take into account that if you're made of $ then you could probably pull it off.

Yeah the posted weights were high. The carbine frame is lighter than my jet 9, so its a start
