    Heard a rumor........

I attended Frostbike in Bloomington, MN this weekend. I heard from a vendor that Kona might be doing a 650B bike.

    Anybody else heard that?

Also heard that the WTB 650 Wolverine is going to be an "OEM tire for 2010", which tells me somebody ordered a whole bunch of 'em. At least I would guess so.

I heard about the OEM tire thing. But this wouldnt mean that you cant order it from a WTB distributer.

I have heard nothing about Kona.

haven't heard about Kona, but did you press for any more details?
hardtail or fully? ss or geared? etc etc...

I'd like to see a 'B' Unit, but they cheaped out on their tubing with the steel frames so i'd have to insist they made it from Ti.

The person I spoke with overheard their person in charge of OEM sales talking about 650B and Kona. That's all I could get. So, its maybe a vague rumor, but perhaps there is something to it. That's why I asked here to see if anybody else had heard something similar.

I think it is quite likely that someone is going to introduce another production 650Ber, but who that is isn't clear to me at this point.

Regardless of what happens it does show that 650b is on the radar of bike companies.

Those OEM Tires are probably for Haro I'd wager a guess. Since in 2010 they'll have the Beasleys and the Sonix 650b series frames that'll need some 650b meats on em.

I thought about that for a second, but would your ride be better suited by the WTB's or the NeoMoto on a FS 650B bike?

Maybe on the Beasley's, I could see that.

Maybe Mark Slate will make more 650B Blackbucks now too.

True. However, not everything I heard was positive either.

I'd say more, but I think I'll bite my tongue. It would seem to be the prudent thing for me to do in this forum.
