Boy does that look nice, i'm in big trouble. I have a 1x1 650B, a Rawland DSOGN in about two weeks. I think I need a 650B full suspension too. This in addition to my 29er and others.

    Getting Close

JUST NEED TO GET THE BRAKES CABLED UP, STEERER CUT AND MAYBE A SMIDGE LONGER STEM. I GOT THE WB FORK FROM DIESELCRUISERHEAD AT A GREAT DEAL SO THE MANITOU MINUTE 29ER FORK MAY GO ON THE EL PADRINO INSTEAD, BUT I SURE DO LIKE HAVING ONE RIGID RIDE IN THE STABLE.

Crap Mark - I just realized there are these two little spacers from White Brothers for the thru axle white brothers model that go between the fork and the front brakes. I have then right in my hand. Nothing too complicated, about 4mm long, but important - doh! When you get a chance shoot me an email or give me a ring and I see about your schedule. I can overnight them if need be! Thanks, Andre

    4" Linkage

    Hey Mark,

I'm really interested to hear how you like the Bastardo with the 4" linkage. I've been trying to work up the nerve to throw down the cash on the same set up (or possibly a custom Eriksen). I really want a shorter travel xc oriented (think Intense Spider 2) 650b with around 4" of travel. The Bastardo might not exactly fit the bill, but I think it's as close as I'm going to get right now. How much did the 4" link change the angles and overall geometry from the 5" (or is it a 5.5"). Have you had a chance to spend much time on it yet? I'm anxious to read a review. Thanks!

    Rob

    Waiting for spring

No ride report yet, still waiting for snow to melt, i am off to Gooseberry in about a month for a week of riding and initial shakedown. This was an 08 frame with 5" rockers, sherwood said the 4" rocker will work perfectly with the frame, if have any questions call Sherwwod himself he will give you all the answers you desire...

    Thanks...

Bike is now complete, going on a short road/ dirt ride, frost is still coming out of the ground. I pulled the trigger on some Formula k24 hydro brakes, so far so good. I will post some pics tomorrow.
