I'm trying to find a quality coaster brake wheelset to beef up my klunker. Anyone know who makes em?

Handsome Cycles is coming out with a sealed bearing coaster hub . Supposed to be available early spring.

Yes, but they're using KT guts which are not so great. I'd stick with a Bendix red band or model 76, they hold up well and I use the red band in the coaster brake challenge:

    Amazing!...

... the coaster brake has been around... well, lets just say Noah had 2 on the ark, and it stopped pretty well, and someone now is going to "improve" on it, by using sealed bearings? Have you ever seen an old c-brake fail? Steel body left out in the rain, snow, ice just keeps going and going, Bikes from the 1950s still have the orig coasters and they still work!

I hope Handsome Cycles has enough reasoning to have a little planned obsolescence in it cause it will prolly last two hundred years with sealed bearings! I guess we will have to wait and see! Even the old cup and cone would get some play in it and a couple of wrenches and it was adjusted out could be done out on the road.

Is the next big thing coaster brakes all blinged out, aluminum or carbon hub shells with full ceramic bearings, infinately adjustable brake timing and electronic ABS?

Just being sarcastic, don't get me wrong everything can be improved, I guess it's me, soon they will have an "app" for that. so put me on the list now I want one too, after all it's the American way isn't it?
