Can I put 27.5+ wheelset on my 27.5 bike?

I have a 2015 Lapierre Zesty 27.5, but is it possible if I swap out to a 27.5+ wheelset will it work/fit? The rear chainstay on the LP is really roomy and assuming there is enough space, will this be an easy swap out? I'm running Fox 34 Factory in the front.

possible? yes. but first measurements of both CS & SS spacing will tell the tale. Same for the fox fork @ the seal bulge. Depending on what plus wheelset & tires you envision it may well dictate whats possible. As an example i35 rims with 2.8's mounted are in the area of 68mm knob-knob, hence good clearance for debris/mud and avoid tire rub would be 75-77mm between stays.

this link has some good info listed.

I plan to do this at some point with my 2015 Trance when I get wider wheels around 30 to 35mm id. I will likely run no bigger than 2.6" tires (with a front tire no bigger than 2.8") since I am hearing reports that many are finding them the sweet spot for trail riding.

The OP has never posted again with any sort of findings........noose if you do use 2.6 then i30 rims are your target point.

Would 35 id be fine as well?

certainly would be but numerous factors play into this wide rim era we find ourselves. What tire, what brand and size can dictate the choice you make.
