    is this bike worth it?

so some of my friends are selling a norco fluid HT for 730, its a bit upgraded.

wheelset: raceface arc 30 mated to schwalbe magic marrys
drivetrain: sram NX Eagle 1x11 11-46
    not sure what cranks
    130mm rockshox yari (i think)
    shimano SLX brakes
    780mm bars with a 50mm stem

i've been thinking about it, not sure though.

maybe, but i could probably get it for 700 flat or less
also its a rockshox rega, not yari, and it weighs 23 LBS, its a good 8 pounds lighter compared to my current bike

That doesnt sound like a 23lb bike. Its probably closer to 30lb, which is fine, but NX, a low end RS fork, and aluminum 30mm rims and heavy tires doesnt make for a light build!

Not bad for the price. What are you riding now? A simple fork change on your existing bike would probably be a better value for your money.

No way that bike weighs 23 pounds, at sub-$800. It's clearly over 30lbs....

i've weighed it and it comes in at about 11 KG, or just over 23 LBS. maybe my scale is bad? its a lot ligher then my old hardtail. which was a REI DRT 1.1. normally, i would ugrade the fork and drivetrain, but the bike isnt worth the money.

maybe, but if it were my old bike would have to be over 35 LBS, which its not. i've weighed my old hardtail countless times and it comes in at 30-31 pounds depending on the tires/pedels/seat im running.

also i picked the bike up, sold my old bike for $350.
its a really nice bike, and having a dropper post is great, definitly worth it.

sounds like a pretty good deal to me (as long as the bike is in good shape and no abused to death).
