Bonking ... not feelin' well Bad Boy 1 (2018) and WTB Horizon 650 47c

    Hello community,

Just changed my Schwalbe G-One Performance - 650x40c by WTB Horizon 650 47c TCS. to be honnest I was sure this was 40c but I made a mistake. Here is the 47c rear mounted:

There is 2mm and after... its the frame .

Do you think it's bad choice? Should I change it?

Thanks by advance for your advices.

Are you planning on putting on fenders? Are you a big boy on flexy wheels? Judging from the frame and tires, this bike is purely used on the street? Properly tension the spokes and you should be fine. Use the tires til they're worn then get the 40-42c tires.

Iím a firm believer in running the biggest tire my frame/fork can clear. Whatís the occasional tire rub? SEND IT!

    Hello,

    Thanks for the reply.

I am planning this fender: https://www.sks-germany.com/en/products/edge-al-56/

My use will only be for street and clean graveled road. My weight is 79kg.

There is no tyre rub (fortunately) , the worst case tyre is at 1mm of the frame.

Depending on how forward the new fender wrap around the tire, you may have to trim is down so its stops before the tire/chainstay junction. Is the tire/seatstay clearance good?

It works great until you want to sell the frame and the buyer asks you why it looks like someone tried to sand through the seat stays.

Yes, there is space. About 5mm each side:

ok, I called my vendor. He is ok to change the tires !

    My previous tires were Schwalbe G-One Performance - 650x38B (27.5 x 1.5).

Is it ok if take this one: https://www.probikeshop.fr/pneu-schw...78/134956.html which are typically
    650x40(27,5x1,60) ?

I guess it should be ok but I prefer asking now to avoid mistakes: it should be 2 mm more than the Schwalbe G-One (my old one and 5mm less than the wtb...).

    Thanks for your support.
