    Aluminum hardtail frame

So I've been looking around for a 27.5 frame with tapered headtube, 142x12, threaded BB.

Mostly I find carbon frames or alloy with QR or press fit BB.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, this frame is for commuting so no big travel. Also not too expensive.

Try Chain Reaction--they have cheap Al frames (the Octane One Prone seems to fit your requirements):

It says the octane prone is for 140 forks. Besides that it's the closest I can find for what I'm after. I would be using with rigid fork.

Salsa frame is nice but only works with small chainrings.

If you're using small tires, a 26er MTB frame might also work.
