27.5 Xsmall race bike for son

My 11 year old has outgrown his Giant 24" wheel MTB which he raced last year. He is ready to step up to a bigger wheel size but there isn't much out there for someone his size. I think we have narrowed it down to a 27.5 wheel size in an Xsmall frame. He looked at a Scott today that had 27.5 wheels (Medium frame) with a 28.5" standover height and it was just a bit too big. Certainly there is a Specialized Epic or Scott 700 27.5 wheeled Xsmall bike out there somewhere. Any suggestions where I could find this unicorn set up?

The only current model extra small 27.5 bikes I’ve found belong to Trek. In the used market you can get a Canyon Exceed, Norco Revolver, and other “unicorn” models like you speak of. There’s a small Cannondale Scalpel si 27.5 frame for sale on pinkbike for a good price if you’re willing to do a lightweight FS bike. Last option may be an Ali Express frame...

    Good luck!

I've been wracking my brain over this lately, I'm just gonna get a 26" Trailcraft or Cleary. Those have cranks and seats all the other stuff proportioned for a tween, not like an XS framesize with adult parts.

Xs 27.5 Marin Bear Valley wfg frame

I’ve been tweaking on kids bikes for a bit haha. There’s a lot to be said to just go buy a Trailcraft since they hold their value so well. But if you have parts laying around it can be pretty cost effective to build a bike as well.
