27.5 bike with cross-country orientated geometry for under £500?

I've noticed that all the highly reviewed bikes (Voodoo Hoodoo, Vitus Nucleus, Calibre Two Cubed, Pinnacle Kapur 2...etc...) boast 'modern low and slack geometry' for aggressive trail riding. And each new iteration seems to get even lower and slacker.

I kind of want the opposite - a more cross-country orientated bike with old school geometry better suited to climbing than aggressive descending. Are there any good examples of those with 27.5 inch wheels for under £500?

    Thanks in advance...

Do a search for the Diamondback Overdrive in 27.5. Sounds like what you may be looking for in the price range that you stated.

-Just wait a few years until the industry pushes us back to new versions of the bikes we sold because they were obsolete.

    Or:

-Drink the KoolAid, bruh. If you don't shred gnar, do you even?

One of the above statements is sarcasm. Unfortunately.
