Buying new tyres for mtb on road, which width?

Hi folks I use my mtb solely on the road and I have chosen a tyre called a Schwalbe kojack as they have god reviews for being quick on the road and they are priced well for my small budget.
I note that they come in 2 sizes, either a 1.35" or 2",could anyone advise if the 1.35" would be faster than the 2",I haven't had a tyre that narrow before, comfort is important too though

I personally prefer bigger tires even on road. There have been some studies that found a bigger, softer tire is actually more efficient because it can conform around a bump rather than deflect off of it. I run Panaracer Gravel King 26x2.1 tires at 27 psi rear and 25 psi front on road and i don't struggle too bad to keep up with roadies on a chill ride. I wouldn't race on the road with it but for any mixed pavement/gravel/dirt ride they are perfectly efficient.

Yeah, agree that wider is better, unless you're doing a lot of competitive climbing on smooth roads. Then you might want something lighter.

    RIGID, not "ridged" or "ridgid"
PEDAL, not "peddle." Unless you're selling stuff
