    Advocate cycles hayduke builds

    Anyone build up a Hayduke 27.5+? I'm considering building one and was curious how people have built them; 12x142 or 12x148, SS or geared, what forks, tires etc. If you can share pics that would be great. I'm looking for ideas.

    Sure can. Dont mind helping a future Hayduke owner. I'll already posted to the thread above but here you go:
    - Large Cromo frame, 12x148
    - 780 handle bar
    - 80mm stem
    - Fox 34 Fork
    - 2X11 Sram GX 24-36 cranks shifters, derailleurs, 10-42 cassette
    - Shimano XT M8000 brakes
    - RM750C carbon rims (43mm inside, 50mm outside) on Hadley Boost hubs
    - Nobby Nic 3.0 Trailstar front
    - Rocket Ron 2.8 Pacestar rear
    - Thomson covert elite dropper post

    The stock build is a great bang for your buck. Gives you one hell of a bike for under $3k and when you want to make upgrades or swap out better parts you can.

    I went stock build and swapped out some parts to customize to my liking:
    -On One OG Bar
    -Ritchey stem
    -Giant dropper post
    -Esi grips
    -WTB trail bosses tubless
    -Snugged up the wheel set (most factory wheelsets are built too loose)

    I'd agree with the above. My LBS even offered to price out building one up for me, and couldn't beat it. Besides, I wanted to ride the stock bike 'as is' for a while before deciding what needed personalization. Things I've swapped in from the stock build overt the last few months:

    Answer 20/20 bar
    RF Next seatpost
    WTB Trail Boss 3.0 (tubeless)
    Chris King BB (probably the best single upgrade I made)
    180mm rotor rear
    RF Chester pedals
    Brooks C17 saddle
    ESI grips
    Wolftooth 30t ring (on order)

    The best thing I can say about the stock Reba RL fork is that it is "good enough." I'm going to keep running it for now, but eventually I'll probably swap for a Fox 34.

    Welp I went all in for a Hayduke. Sold my El Mariachi Ti and ordered the missing bits today. Waiting for SS boost dropouts to be available so I can order the frame. This will be the build:

    Large Hayduke Jeep Blue
    Fox factory 34 120mm
    XT M8000 crankset
    Absolute black oval 32t
    18t King cog
    XT M8000 brakes
    Hope Pro 2 EVO hubs and Velocity Dually wheelset
    Vittoria Bomboloni 27.5 x 3.0
    Syntace 75mm stem
    Crank bro 11 780mm bars
    Moots ti post (until I have money for a dropper...)

    The end of the month can't come soon enough!
