    27.5+ Rim options

There doesn't seem to be an abundance of availability on 27.5+ rims just yet. I'm looking for something in alloy that is 35mm to 45mm and is 28h (I already have high end hubs) and I'm having a difficult time finding anything. My first choice is the velocity dually and they can get them in 28h but its a 4-6 month lead time. That just doesn't work for me at all.

    Suggestions?

Quick search reveals these available in 28 hole:

    DT Swiss XM 551

    SunRingle Duroc 40 & 50

I would pick the Duroc over the Dually and DT rims, mainly for their better tubeless profile.

You can get light bicycle carbon rims drilled however you want. I dont know if the plus size has a longer lead time, but my buddy got his skinny 29er rims in about a month. If I decide to step up to a better rim, Ill probably go in that direction.

I was wondering the same thing a while back. That list has a lot of rims but if you really dig into it there really are only 2 that are 28h. The DT XM551 and Duroc series. Seems odd that others dont do 28h. (I'm looking at you velocity!)
