    Jeffsy 29 vs Pivot Switchblade

Hi, just wondering if anyone here has compared and ridden the two bikes and what they reckoned? I REALLY want a Switchblade after borrowing one for a few days in February but can't get over the fact that I can have a full top of the line Jeffsy for the same price as the Pivot frame. I'm not able to test the Jeffsy otherwise I would.

Definitely more bang for you buck, going sale direct...

But that SB looks sweet. If I had the coin, I'd get a SB or top of the line Jeffsy.

So many cool bikes out there

Jeffsy is a great bike for the price. However the Switchblade is a much better climber. You can feel some on the inefficiency of the Jeffsy when climbing or mashing on the pedals. But for a 140mm 29er it's hard to beat for the price. I can probably live with it's minor deficiencies given the value.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

couldn't agree more. i have a jeffsy and my wife has a switchblade (for sale now) which i've spent time on. the dw link is a better climbing, at least seated climbing, but you can't beat the value of the jeffsy and with a shock upgrade you can work through some of that pedal bob. the jeffsy is just a blast overall.

Do you mind me asking why your wife's Switchblade is for sale?

I've demo'd a SB and my buddy's Jeffsy. If I had to pick one to buy tomorrow it would be the YT. He leaves us in the dust on climbs so the bike isn't holding him back and he has one of the mid-grade AL builds. I didn't find the SB climbed particularly well.
    Safe riding,
