Revamped site looks great. Same minimal feeling but even easier to navigate.

    New geo for 575?

I assume the 575 geo numbers are off. At least the HA for a 575 with 160mm fork is listed at 68.8, while HA for a 575 with 150mm fork is listed at 68.0. What the correct number for 160mm, should it be 66.8?

Finally! I can't wait to demo a SB-95. My bank account won't appreciate it though.

Nice, I was having withdrawals! Sad to see the ASR-7 no longer on the Bike section - but life goes on - plus I can always look at my 3D one

Based upon what Mark(?) at University Cycles shared with me last week, you'd be advised to *not* demo the bike.

    Hi
Somebody notice that the price get down in the ASR 5 ( well, the components are not the same- Even the sandle is only in race and pro) but You can buy the enduro for 2,900. Also the rear shock is RP2 while in the race and pro is RP23) Also the Frame is cheaper.

I just wondering the frame is made in USA?

Anyway We will see more Yetis in the trail and i happy that i bought 2011 model

    Bye

Thats because 80% of the people that demo it buy it, and the others want to buy it.
There are many good bike companies out there, and I work for one of them.

slightly off topic... but I was reading something earlier (dont know if it was on mtbr) from a yeti rep about the 2012 lineup and it had information about why they chose to discontinue the asr-7 (said something like the sb-66 outperformed it in every aspect) but I lost the thread. Anybody have a link to that post? thx

the main place the asr7 underperformed was in sales.
Since when did Need have anything to do with this?

    ^This^.

The ASR-7 is a fine bike, my girl got one as her "swiss army knife" bike and she loves it. Replaced the air with coil, and she can't wait to get it on the trails at Winter Park.

well, i'd probably be misquoting him but two things stick out in my memory

    1. something like 8 people demo'd the sb95 on one demo-day, 4 put down deposits that day.

    2. a friend of his who had been trying to get Mark to sell his AnthemX/29 for a while demo'd a sb95 one day, and came into the shop immediately to put a deposit down afterwards.

    3. after riding the sb95 for a short period the "damn, I need a new bike" issue arose

I of course did not record the conversation nor have a notarized deposition or anything, but this is the internet, so it's all equal quality info.

It's also possible that this is all Austin trail specific, but I find that hard to believe.

I don't recall anything said about the ride qualities that I haven't read elsewhere, lots of gushy happy talk. Other than that the sb maintains speed in chunk better than the Anthem.

I wish there was more anecdotal info like there is for the 66 but that won't happen until bikes get out into the general populace.

With some luck I'll get to report myself on how it rides (in NE PA trails), before I turn 47 (in August).

The most useful non-ride-related tidbit he shared was that the Stan's 21mm tape and valves would seal up the stock rims just peachy for tubeless use, and work better than the DT kit.

I noticed that a lot of specs are now wrong, and some links don't work. Once they check and fix the specs and validate all links, the site will be...well kind of like before only different.
May the air be filled with tires!

about two months after pureyeti.com.au does, based upon previous updates.

    :^)

Seriously, maybe one of the Yeti Crew has that info handy and can share it? It would be helpful.
