Well, I'm joining the club. Rode a 66A with an enduro build and had so much fun I had to build one for myself. Here's what I have so far:

    2013 SB66 carbon frame, medium
    PIKE RCT3 150mm
Hope ProII EVO with Stan's Arch
    XO Trail brakes
    Haven stem
    EC70 bar

Still deciding on the cranks and drivetrain. Might go with a full XTR 2x10 with XX cassette or an XO 1x10 with the type 2 mech and a narrow/wide on the XTR crank.

Hot Damn! I'm so excited to build this thing and get it out on the trails!!

Just joined the tribe also. Today I took delivery of a yellow 66 frame that will eventually have a full XT build on it. I will be transferring parts from my Blur LT to complete the build.

I scooped up a Large Turquoise Frame from ChainLove, and have been planning my build. I'll transfer a few things from my 575, and the rest I managed to scrounge together with help from my LBS (props to Two Wheeler Dealer in Hayden, ID) and some online discounts

    Frame: Yeti SB-66a (Turquoise)
    Shock: Fox CTD
Fork: RS Pike Solo Air (160mm Black)
    Headset: Cane Creek 40 ZS44/ZS56
    Wheels: Easton Haven
Rear Der: Shimano XT M786 Shadow+ (med cage)
    Cassette: XT DynaSys 11-36
    Shifter: Shimano XT M780
    Front Der: none
    Bottom Bracket: Race Face Cinch
Crankset: Race Face Next SL (single ring / narrow wide 30T)
    Brakes: Shimano XT BR-M785B
    Rotors: Shimano 180mm/160mm (F/R)
    Stem: Easton Haven (50mm)
    Bars: Easton Haven Carbon
    Seatpost: KS LEV 150
    Saddle: Chromag Trailmaster LTD
    Pedals: Shimano SPD M540

I'll post pics once the parts are all in and the bike is built

Looks like you got yourself a killer build in the works! I have to say, I had a 66a briefly, and was so impressed that I sold it off and got a 66c. Not sure if it's just the way the shock is valved or what, but it just doesn't have that magical feel that I loved about the 66a. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I sometimes think about going back to the alu version...

    New SB66

Scored this off Jenson a month ago for about $2500 basically fully assembled. It's the enduro build and while it has mid range stuff I am super excited to have the frame. I have yet to take it out on the trails, still getting it dialed in. Only thing I am going to do for a while is get a new front tire, I don't think the ardent 2.25 is going to cut it.

    Specs:

2013 SB66 alloy medium turquoise endure build
Fox float 32 ctd kashima 150
    Fox ctd kashima shock
    Mavic wheels
    Maxxis ardent 2.25 tires
    X7 shifters and front der
X9 rear der 2x10 (ditched the big ring for a bash)
Elixir 5 brakes ( yeah I know I'm going to try them out)
    Truvativ BooBar 740mm
    Truvativ aka 60mm stem
    Nukeproof electron pedals
WTB volt saddle (still not sure about this)

Going with this set up for now. In the future probably go 1x10, dropper, possibly a 34 fork, different brakes, maybe a different saddle. Excited to get out and get some miles on it!

Which is the correct rear Shimano bracket? "160mm post/IS rear" sound right?

just ordered myself a 2014 SB66 'Comp' frame (alloy rear triangle) with Kashima shock in Kashima Yellow.

    spec will read as follows

    Large SB66 frame
    Fox CTD kashima shock
RS Pike 150mm RCT3 forks (black)
Hope inset headset with Yeti topcap
    Easton Haven carbon bars
    Easton Haven 55mm stem
    RS Reberb dropper
    WTB Silverado Ti' saddle
    Uberbike lock ons
Hope Pro 2 Evo (40t engagement) hubs on Stans Arch EX rims
Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.35" Traistar EVO / 2.25" Racing Ralph Pacestar EVO (set up tubeless)
Superstar 9mm bolt-through QR (I may eventually go 142mm as the hubs will take it)
    Shimano XT brakes (ispec B)
    Uberbike 180/160floating rotors
    Shimano XT crankset
    Raceface 30t narrow/wide chainring
    Shimano XT 11-36 cassette
Wolf components 42t sprocket (not yet ordered)
    Shimano Zee FR rear mech
Shimano XT rear shifter (ispec B)
    Wellgo flat pedals

This build came in at sub 26lbs on my Titus FTM Carbon, so I suspect I will be circa 2lbs heavier on the SB66

29.4 lbs with a bathroom scale. Honestly didn't buy any part taking weight into consideration. This was a dream build of mine, for the first time in my life I was in a position to purchase whatever parts I wanted. And the photo doesn't do the turquoise justice!

Hey everyone, I just started building up my new SB66 after the crazy frame blowout Yeti's been having. I'm having a wierd problem though. I was trying to direct mount a new set of SRAM XO brakes to the rear post mount but the bolts that came with the brakes are too big in diameter.

Does anyone know what size bolt the rear post mounts take? I thought all post mounts used M6 hardware? Did Yeti do something different here?

The problem must be the bolts, because the mounts are standard. My XO's mounted right up. Did you try the bolts on the fork as well? Do they fit there?

My friend just built up a SB66 as his shop bike. I'm looking forward to taking it for a spin. Take a look at the wheels- they're really sick in person.

First ride today. Awesome. I was ripping it down hills and hit a few things I never have before. Added a dropper and some mud guards. Surprisingly the Elixir 5's worked well.

    Hey guys!
Some of the builds on here are amazing!!

Im really interested in buying a sb66. The problem is i've got a issue with the sizing. Im 6ft 1 inch's, yeti recommend a Large frame but looking on the pictures on here the Large looks absolutely massive.

Shall i go for a meduim instead? I'll be running a 50mm Renthal stem.

Ill be using the bike for trail riding, tho im a Down Hiller at heart so i will be tempted to give it a good thrashing on the descents. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Dan
