Yeti ARC Carbon -- Fork size?

    Hey All,
Looking at picking up a new ARC C and wanted to see what thoughts were on going with the 120 fork vs the 100? Hard for me to decide or say at this point as I don't have an option to try one.
    Anybody ridden one yet?

On the Yeti page, they recommend a 100mm fork

What travel suspension fork can I run?
The ARC Carbon geometry was optimized for a 100mm Fox fork. You can run an 80mm or 120mm travel fork but it will change the handling and geometry (a shorter fork will make the bike steeper and quicker handling, while a longer fork will make it slacker and slower handling).

    Thanks YetiRich....
I had seen that and since it is still new and not yet out there too much I guess I'll probably stick with what is 'optimized'.
    As always 'decisions, decisions'....

Not sure about other manufacturers, but if you get a Fox 120 it can be turned into a 100 with an inexpensive spacer. Not sure if the new Fox forks can go from 100 to 120 though. I've got an ARC on order and just went with a 100.

This. Almost any air fork can be reduced by 20mm (or 10, 110 might even be the sweet spot, who's to say?), not all 100mm forks can be extended.

Unless you are really worried about the weight, I'd rather have a spaced-down 120 than a fixed travel 100.

Sweet...Thanks guys for the heads up and advice on that. Options are always good and that certainly covers the bases.
