    XTR rear hub issue

So my HT has a two years old (~1200miles) XTR laced to 717.
Now it makes some minor noise when pedalling + when turning the wheels backwards, it grabs the casset + chain & pedals and turns it backwards as well.
Can you tell me what went possibly wrong?.
    Do I need new hubs?.
    Thanks

it's supposed to do that (grab the cassette when turning the wheels in the reverse direction). You have a problem when you coast and the cassette keeps turning. In either case, you only have to replace the freehub not the whole hub.

    You are right!

    Hey Flipn
My son rides the Bontrager now and he complained about noises during the last ride. I checked the bike and thought something was wrong. I thought it should'nt grab the cassete when moving backwards. After reading your reply, I went to check my Yeti and sure enough it is the same.
    Thanks
