Just spent last weekend at Snowshoe, WV on the SB95. Finally got to see what this frame is really capable of and she didn't disappoint. This was my first trip to a bike park. Road all day sat in the rain, but sunday was perfect weather. What a trip. Was thinking about renting a big bike for day two, but the SB worked so well that the only place a big bike would have helped was on the super steep rough Pro DH type trails. So, I stuck with the SB.
I've got a Manitou Tower Pro 120 up front, Fox CTD shock, and ran a P35 wheelset with a Vigilante front and Ardent 2.4 rear. Bought the Vigilante just for that trip and it didn't disappoint. The shock was a little harsh in fast chop even in descend mode, but that's typical for Fox BV shocks. I had a pretty firm shim stack in the Tower which was also a little harsh in chop but worked good everywhere else.
A 140/150 fork and 4 piston brakes would have been perfect.
