Thank you for the compliments, I'll enjoy this bike for years !
Shame it's discontinued, I rode a 29r hard tail for a year, this bike puts it to shame !

That is my favorite mountain bike of all time.

It was my dream bike when I was a lieutenant in the Army and couldn't justify spending more on a frame then my entire Spec Rockhopper cost. Sadly, I've never owned an ARC. I ride a fantastic ASR-5 right now, which is the best bike I've ever ridden -- demos included -- but I still wish I'd had an opportunity to ride the ARC.
I live with fear and danger every day. And on the weekends she lets me go mountain biking.

When I decided I wanted a hard tail, I had a feeling the ARC was the one. I read some old reviews and ride reports, and most were spot on what I felt on the first ride. It feels slacker than what it is, some said the frame rode a bit harsh, I didn't feel that at all. I was surprised how compliant it felt in the back. I have narrower bars than what I'm used to, but necessary here with the tight twisty trails in the trees. I was worried the bike would be twitchy at speed but found it tracks like on rails. I know in comparison to my SB, it's not apples to apples, but seemed familiar entering and exiting the turns.
Your ASR-5 is an awesome bike ! Although I ride a lg. frame, I take out my wife's med. ASR-5 now and then and have a blast ! It's made me consider dealing off my SB for one, but then I'll ride my SB and am reminded I'll never part with it . Guess I'll have to save up for awhile and keep an eye out for minty used one, can never have to many bikes, right

    Great looking Bike.
Still love my 2010er ARC, one of the best 26er Hardtails out there.

I just upgraded mine with a 2014 Rock Shox SID.

I would love Yeti to release a real follow up to this ARC though.
Alloy frame, light, durable and affordable in 27.5 (small sizes) and 29 (larger ones) - similar to the ARC carbon.
