I considered one but for many $100 models, it appears (by negative reviews) that the measurement isn't accurate. Some models have very inaccurate readings (again, base on postings - not always a reliable source I know). Have you actually checked the calibration of your torque wrench?
Not in any super accurate manner- definitely not a precision device, but I see it as better than "tighten until I think it is good." Think it was 120 skins, and is a Chinese made tool. Has to go back to manufacturer to be re-calibrated (right).
I know I will get some hate for this but I've owned the wrench below for a year and it's been fine. I'm sure it's not the most accurate wrench but it works AND there is a lifetime warranty.
