When word first came out that they were going to produce some he immediately contacted Race Face about getting them. RF informed him to have our LBS contact them and they called the next day and placed the order. He's since been told that there may be a set of matching bars and seatpost too. I'm sure he'll have to pull the trigger on those too if they do become available.

The 1st ride on it should be this weekend, I'll post a ride report and let you know how the ride & fit is afterwards.

That is, by a wide margin, the nicest paint job ever applied to a bicycle.

i tried it on the 575 I had and it was really close. It cleared until the tire got muddy.

Nice!!!!! That is one sweeeet looking 575! Those photos are very well taken too!

I like the mods - subtle but very tasteful and looks factory.

He finally got a short but technical ride in this past Monday. He didn't have any problems with the tire rubbing but it is bone dry here. Rest assured if it's muddy at all the frame would be packed with mud and debris.

As far as the tire goes he did say he's not sold on them just yet. We're guessing the tires need to be broken in a bit to get to their full potential. He said the snakeskin sidewall feels very stiff and I know from using the Racing Ralphs and Nobby Nic's that they do feel much better after a few rides.

Thanks guys. I wish I had my dslr instead of my phone. I did feel like a badass driving around looking like team Yeti on top of my car. And not to pump crap on my manager but my 33lb 7 climbed much faster then his 27lb 575 :-P

Your 7 did not climb faster than his 575. You climbed faster than he did

I know this. I am a 170lb kid that raced cross country running and cyclocross on a national level for a few years and he is a 250lb 30 year old that works his ass off in a bike shop everyday and hardly ever gets to ride his bike because he is always fixing others bikes.

Well, that hardly seems fair. I can remember when 30 years old seemed "old" to me. Now I'd still consider hitt'n Olivia Newton John given the chance. You of course have no idea who that is. Good for you though.
