    Front Derailleur hits chainstay

Had my Yeti 575 for over a year now - love it!

When cleaning the frame I noticed a 'dent' in the upper surface of the chainstay from the cage of the FD hitting. I've adjusted the FD up a bit and now it is very noisy in the smaller two front rings with the chain rattling over the FD cage.

Anyone have the same problem? Solutions??

    Thanks

    Richard

This has been covered in several past threads. Your chain will only be noisy when you aren't on it - the suspension compresses and the derailleur drops away from the chain.

Thanks for the heads up - i will do a proper search.

However my chain definitely does rattle over the FD cage when I am riding and the suspension is compressed.

Are you by any chance using a 42 tooth chainring?

If so, this could be a possible expaination.
