    Flat bar on ASR5-C

For anyone who has put a flat bar on the ASR5-c, did it change the handling?

I ride mostly XC and the EC90 flat bar is on sale and seems silly light.

if your stem can be still lowered, you can just lower your stem to get a feel for how the flat bar will feel.

lowering the rise of the bar doesn't change the handling, it lowers the bar. It has exactly the same effect on any bike.

Bigger thing I'd worry about is the EC90's width. I haven't ridden a bar that narrow since the 80s - that thing is like 4" narrower than any riser bar I'm aware of.
I have an EC70-wide/flat (685mm width) on my ARC; never, ever would consider going narrower than that.

Lower bars will definitely change the handling. You'll have more weight forward and over the front wheel. It will also make the front end seem a bit heavier to pull up (because you've naturally got a bit more weight shifted forward). It's all a trade off.
