    DJ's: Going, going . . .

    Hey guys-

This popped up in another thread, so I figured it was worth repeating.

A common theme around here is that we have a product that does not sell well (see ARC, ARC-X, and tons of others), we sit on piles of them for months/years, and then when we finally sell through and discontinue them, people tend to freak out.

With that in mind, I figured I'd let you all know that the DJ is disappearing once we sell through the remaining stock. We're already sold out of SM, but we have 10xLG and 25xMD left. This isn't just for the US. This is for the entire world.

Will there be another DJ to take it's place? Probably not. This was a special project bike that we built for Grubby to dominate the 4X WC circuit on (mission accomplished), and consequently, it was a very expensive bike that served a very niche market. Because of that, sales were very slow, and it's going to be damn hard to get any support behind the idea of doing another similar bike anytime soon. We're still a very small company (less than 25 employees), and unfortunately, we just don't have the luxury of going after every little niche that we find interesting. We have to choose our battles wisely.

Moral of the story: get 'em while they're hot!

Are they still hot? If not, can they be reheated?

Damn guys.. Working at a shop, I always drooled over the DJs, but thought it would be too 4x inspired to jump and ride the way I like.. I was just about to buy a cheaper complete DJ bike from another company, but hearing that this is the last of the Yeti DJ I might have to re-evaluate..I refuse to not pick up a DJ before they disappear like what happened to me on the ARC-x.

I am sad to see the DJ go the way of the 4x and the ARC-X, and the mighty ASR-7..

Edit: Might as well say that my DJ frame showed up after John scared me about never being able to buy one again.. I pulled the trigger and I am stoked on my new frame..

    Glad I just got mine!

I hope service parts (derailleur hanger/dropout) will still be available.
May the air be filled with tires!
