Wink CCDBair CS vs. Stock Fox Float CTD

    Hi fellow Yeti members,

I am just wondering does changing the rear shock to CCDBair CS changes the ride characteristic on the SB66c dramatically. I mean the SB switch suspension platform was after all developed on the Fox float right?

The SB platform already pedals great without flipping the climb switch on the Fox float. Is the climb switch on the CCDBair CS even necessary?

To those who have done it, would you mind sharing your experiences.

Re: CCDBair CS vs. Stock Fox Float CTD

I have dbair on my 95a and believe it works much better than the fox that came on the bike.

I does require time and patience to find the correct db tune for you and the bike.

I feel the float x may be a best match, for fox hardware, with the correct damping tune. Cheaper than the db.

My opinion is that the vs part is only useful on road, not even buff XC trail.

Thanks for the insight and suggestion on the float x, bear. Appreciate it.
