    Bottom bracket spacers on SB-95a

My bike has no spacers between the bottom bracket cups and frame. Per Shimano's instructions, an XT crank with 73mm BB shell width (mine measured 73.6mm with the ISCG spline cover) should have one 2.5mm spacer on the drive side. Is there a reason I don't have the spacer or is this an unintentional oversight?
