So far it's been solid. Converted my 3x10 to 2x10 with a BBG Bashguard. Been testing it on bumpy trails and it's quiet.

I had one in the past on my 95 but it kept breaking off due to rock hits. Switched to the new 2013 XT derailer with the friction clutch and haven't looked back.

Yeah, can't beat the price and weight. I was gonna go with the ICSG 05 tabs and Blackspire Stinger but I thought I'd give this a try and so far so good.

Ha, I had a super D race the next day and my chain guide had not come in yet, so I made this setup the night before with a sawed off odi grip and zip ties. It actually worked great.

I know a few people with the ghetto chain guide setup and they all having success so far.

Yeah, I used that thing for about 3 weeks until I put my guide on.

That ODI grip idea is pretty ingenious.

I don't think I'll ever have the legs for 1x10 for around here, though.
