ASR5 worth the money to go thru axle?
Posted this in the ASR5 build thread but no responses.
Has anyone converted their asr5 from qr to thru axle? Is it worth the $80 for the conversion - did you notice significant added stiffness?
Thanks for the help.

I felt there was a slight difference. Depends on what wheel too though. If you have a noodly wheel to start with, you may not notice any diff.

a Chris King turquoise 142 thru axle sounds like an answer for me
Thanks DD. After adding up the cost for the TA end caps, Shimano 12x142 axle and chip set its looking to be about $105.
I have a Spank Oozy laced to XT hub but they were laced up by a great builder and are stiff wheels. At least on par with my Flows on Hopes which is what would go on there for the conversion.
Sounds like it may not be worth the cost for a small bit of added stiffness.
"may not be worth the cost"
If I thought like that I would be riding my old steel Jamis Dakota/8SpLX....instead of my ASR5/XO/Easton Haven C...
