    575 Build question

Hi, I am currently building my first Yeti 575 bike, and am wanting to check to see what the minimum length steer tube I can get away with for my front fork? The head tube on the 575 frame is 7" Can you get away with an 8" steer tube on a fork?

Thanks for the help and input

Are you sure it's 7"? HT for 2012 XL is 5.5".

It's probably 5'' or 5 1/2''. Anyhways OP, you'll need to get the 'stack height' of the headset you intend to use. Add that to the head tube length. Search around on mtbr or google for the stack height of the headset you intend to use.
