    2013 Yeti 575 changes?

    Hi,

Anyone know if there any changes done to the 2013 model? I'm looking to see if I can swing a Race build. I think I remember reading several changes to the 2012. Also, any rumors of what will happen to the 575 in 2014?

    Hey Trek,
I don't think there were any changes to the '13 model. As for the '14's... All I can tell you is that I just got back from the Tribe Gathering and could count on my hands the number of 575's I saw. That being said, my first Yeti was a 575. My third Yeti was a 575. Now I'm rocking an SB66. I do believe there is a place for the 575, but the SB's ride amazing and am not sure how long Yeti can keep them around.

One thing that I can say is that if you get one, you won't be unhappy.

Thanks, for the right deal I think the 575 will make me happy for years to come. Pretty much intermediate trails around here (South/East NY). Not sure how well it would work if I relocate to N.Scottsdale,AZ in a few years though.

I love my '13 575. Coming from light XC stuff, I can't believe how efficient this bike seems.

Just built up my first 575 (13'), really wanted the SB66, but they were a bit more money. Im glad I got the 575, love this thing. The harder you ride it the better it is. I know that the 13' has alloy chainstays, not 100% sure, but I believe a couple of years past had carbon. Carbon scares me, and love the way this one feels.

From the Yeti site, The 575 is going to sport 27.5 wheels

"We have totally redesigned the 575. The original “Trail” bike has now joined the 27.5 wheel revolution. The geometry has been re worked form the ground up to accommodate the new wheel size giving the 575 the exceptional handling that you have come to expect from a 575. For the 2014 575 we use a press fit 30 bottom bracket which allows for more welding surface. This makes the bike stiffer."
