    2006 yeti 575 or cannondale jekyll 4 2011

    My dilemma:
Got a mint 575 but have the option of selling and buying the new jekyll, the plus side the jekyll has a life time warranty and the yeti is just special but does 2011 beat 2006? Help as not sure what to do.

Even the new Alloy Jekylls are crazy expensive, I looked briefly at them before pulling the trigger on my latest Yeti.

My advice is to keep the 575 and throw some sexy new parts on it, i.e., Easton Haven wheels, a Fox 150 fork, and some carbon bars. After spending that, (and I'll even throw in a new crash replacment frame from Yeti for arguments sake), you'll still be out the door cheaper than the new C'dale.

I'm from the Northeast, so I've always had a thing for Cannondale, but IMO the company and bikes nowadays kinda lack the character/charisma of the new Yetis. We all know that's the stuff that makes you faster.

Either way you can lose, so enjoy! ...Oh, and post some pics-
I'd hit it, but I bruise like a peach.

I've been to the local bike shop today to have a look at the Cannondale which looks nice but no classic! It feels heavy and the rear shock looks overcomplicated and a hoarder of mud (from UK). The bike is in end of year sale for 1599 for the 4 and 2000 for the 3. It felt good sat in the shop but would have to demo one before taking the plunge.

sold the 575 just couldn't get on with it, thinking of going the magic link route but not sure yet.
