New question here. what size dragon pro?

I have been dreaming of getting a steel bike for years.
I have read so many good things about the dragon by Jamis

I am 172 cm and have long legs in comparsion to my height.
I live in Korea and they dont stock jamis here anymore so I have to choose the size of my bike before I buy it. The trails here are all steep climbs and steeps descents.
Would you recommend a 17 or 19 inch?
I have a 17 inch fuji bullit which is too cramped
I have a 17 inch jamis dakar (ss) which I have the seatpost at the maximum length.

It looks like 17" bikes are too small for you. Get the 19" and get ready to buy a short stem.

Top tube fit is the most important aspect of picking a frame, so if you find that the 17" has the right cockpit length, just buy a long seatpost. You can get a Thomson post at 410mm length.

The 17" Dragon Pro has a 23" HTT and the 19" has a 23.75" HTT length. The 17" Dakar has a slightly shorter HTT at 22.875". The 17" Fuji's seem to run shorter yet at roughly 22.8" in their race hardtails and 22.4" in their recreational hardtails.

You might also want to look at some other brands that might have an 18" size steel hardtail instead of a 17" and 19".

I'm a 172 cm as well. And I currently ride a 2009 17" Jamis Dragon Pro and it fits beautifully.

My inseam is ~72 cm (so I have shorter legs and a longer torso).

How high do you have your seat?

Thanks. I can only find the 17 in Korea.
How many CMs do do have your seat post way from the maximum setting?
