    Typical Workout Schedule for a Race (A) Week?

    Just wondering what everyone's typical workout schedule looks like for a category A race week. Here is mine:

    M: Weight lifting/core X 1:00
    T: AE trainer ride/intervals X 1:00
    W: Endurance ride X 2:00
    T: Off bike Recovery (stretching, foam roller, etc.) X 1:00
    F: Off bike Recovery (stretching, foam roller, etc.) X 1:00
    S: Short intervals (60 second @ race pace /w lots of recovery time) X 1:00
    S: Race

    Sundays-lift
    Monday-off
    Tues-interval
    Wed-off
    Thurs-endurance ride (2 hours)
    Fri-off
    Sat-pre-ride/short interval
    Sun-race

    I try to stick to this as often as possible. Last year I did not recover enough and wondered why i always had dead legs coming to the race. read the training bible and although I don't follow it exactly some key takeaways were to let your body recover. I guess we will see. I have my first race in two weeks.
