    Trek-Volkswagen calls it quits

Old news, but still new to me...

This is very unfortunate for the Trek team riders who are all very talented.

I hadn't heard that, that's really sad. I think it hurts those regional teams the most. I'm wondering if Gary Fisher will be taking on any of the riders for their team.

That's too bad. Hope that doesn't happen to the Fisher team.

Oh wow. That is really, really sad. They were partners for so long and had built up an amazing team. I hope all the racers can work something out. Many of the racers have been with Trek for a while too. The racers were a good asset to Trek.

    Best of luck for all.

The story went on to state that Trek was going to concentrate on a beefed up European squad to better compete on the World Cup circuit. I have to think that part of the reason for the pulling of North American support could be put down to the recently inconsistent organization of the racing here.

I hope all the racers land somewhere cool.

Didn't Todd Wells and another rider left GT for Specialized? Maybe there'll be a few spots open there for the ex-Trek team.
