Tire choice for XC racing, RaRa or Sworks?
Currently on S works 29 tires (Rear Renegade and Front Fast Trak)
I've been beating the hell out S works tires at that course and they have held just fine, both Renegade and Fast Trak are very fast rolling tires even when they tend to wash out in some corners.
Got a pair of Racing Ralph EVO 2.1 tires at the garage but I'm frightened about the thin walls, there are a couple of rocky sections (not sharp though) at the course and I'd like to avoid a flat.
The thing is, if S works tires have held (no flats at all) I guess RaRa's will do the trick and add a lil bit more traction in corners right?

Santa Cruz Highball Carbon
I've found that the Sworks tires set up tubeless VERY easily and hold air really well, butter than all the others I have tried. This is especially true if your using Roval wheels.
With that being said, I didn't have any problems running my Schwabe tires last race season, worked fine.
I used the Racing Ralphs last year all over the Colorado trails and front range rocks and plan to use them again this coming season. I don't think I cut any sidewalls at all, though I did cut a few through the tread, but that was mostly when using them they were a bit worn.
