    Stage race timing and scoring??

I am thinking about participating in a 3 stage road race. I want to do it because I have never done a crit, time trial or road race. The event includes a 20 K TT, 50 min crit, and 80 mile road race the next day. My question is how overall results are calcuated. Is there a standard way to do this? Is it just cumulative time? The race is USAC scantioned. How do they keep score?

Yes, cumulated time minus time bonuses if they have some (top 3 of crit and RR, and sometimes KOM top of big climb). Criticality of stage is really dependant on road course profile.

I suck at TTs, so I usually go for results in the crit and road race, especially road race since I always seem to do better with each subsequent stage (others seem to wear down).

    You doing Tour del Sol?
