Is a DT Hugi 240 with 355 Crest rims to Easton E90 Carbon wheels an upgrade?

I have been looking at some Easton 29er XC 90 wheels for (gulp) $1,614.00. Is that a weight loss or performance gain? Thanks.

It's a downgrade in hub quality. Likely a wash on weight (the Stan's wheels may actually be slightly lighter). The carbon wheels should be stiffer laterally.

I would spend money elsewhere first if it were me. Or on carbon rims for your DT Swiss hubs.

Yaw, that is what I was thinking. A very expensive upgrade! Thanks for your input.
