Did my first real endurance mtb race
with about 4 months of training (bet), anyway the race went well the problem was the crash at the beginning of the race, the busted knee did slow me down. 100kms race who knows how many thousands of feet of climbing. I had never been down there so I had no idea of the course.
My heart rate monitor listed 6.30 hrs with an average of 165 beats Came in 9th in my age group. So now I have to go back in 2012 and redeem myself.
Recommend the race fun, and very well staffed.

Congrats on a fine effort. Seems like you left it all out on the course.

Is healing great to be fair
it looks much worst that it is, is almost a Hollywood special effect So is fine been riding(commuting) on the road all week, which helps the healing.
