Anyone got a review of the Phenom Comp Gel Saddle?

I can't find a review anywhere of this saddle. I'm on the edge of buying one instead of some padded Fox Shorts. I figure it's a light seat so you racers may use them.

Haven't tried one myself, but I believe most Specialized dealers have demo saddles you can try out. With saddles the only review that really counts is yours anyway.

I've got one and love it. But agree with Fishlips. Specialized has pretty much a no questions asked policy on seats, so if you don't like it, take it back (assumming you're supporting a local bike shop by not purchasing online)

I will call my lbs to see if they have it. If they do, I will support them.

I have the Ti phenom. I like it. Its not light by any means, at 246 grams. I'm sure the gel comp model is another 30 grams or so. I use it on my cx bike. I run the toupe gel on my road bike, and the toupe Ti on my mtb.

Are you talking the 2010 or the 2011 model? I have the 2010 and while a great saddle it has a square profile which will catch your shorts when out of the saddle. The 2011 model has the same shape as the Henge, which I also have and is much better in this regard

It's this one. I imagine its a 2011. Description say its got a rounded tail that won't snag your shorts.

So it's quite comfortable? You can sit on it all day?

    2010 Phenom Comp is great
2011 Phenom Expert is also great (I prefer the 2011 shape)

Neither of these saddles are cushy. I can't imagine that the Gel is cushy, but I'll bet it's more plush. On a FS bike I can ride these all day. On a HT bike you might want something softer.

I've got an Avatar gel saddle and I wouldn't think twice about buying their gel saddles it's sooooo comfortable and I've ridden on it for at least 6 hours without feeling like I'm in Pulp Fiction
