    Another trainer question

Looking at getting a 1up trainer. Only have couple of mountain bikes at the moment, no road bike. Planning to get one early next year. My question is will the 1up have enough resistance on the mountain bikes for effective workouts?

Mine works fine with my MTB, is a little loud and would definitely work better with a slick rear tire.

Thanks for the quick response. I have an extra wheel and plan to put a slick on it just for use on the trainer. What gearing do you use on the front chainrings? Big ring, middle ring?

The middle ring seems fine for me, the best way to modulate the resistance is adjust the tire pressure once you get the bike seated (I would drop the pressure before you seat the bike and then pump it up until u get the resistance u want)

    Hope this helps
