    You know it's hot when...

...the "seal" on chip and seal road bubbles and makes it sound like you're riding on bubble wrap.

another one--you have to put a foot down at an intersection and the cleat wants to stick to the asphalt.

been on the road too much. heavy overnight rains have kept the trails a bit too soupy to ride and now it's hot enough the weather folks are telling people to stay inside. i've been out riding anyway. never claimed to be smart!

    any others?

... you have to walk a mile and a half home 'cause hubby's car battery died from heat exhaustion in the restaurant car park

... you voluntarily decide not to ride 'cause the overnight low was 91 degrees

... you get in the car after a ride, grab the leftover bottle of water sitting inside, figure it will be warm but drinkable, and burn your tongue. Your foolish husband who doesn't believe it's that hot grabs it, spills a bit and scalds his chest.

Pretty much sounds like the last one I saw... 93F, 96F, 94F. Supposed to be nice and juicy too. Did some trail work last weekend and steam was seen coming off our bodies.

Had similar happen, but fortunately wasn't drinking it! Instead I was using the water to wash out some "tree rash" on my arm after bouncing off one earlier. Wow was it hot. Wondered if I should have just left the dirt/bark in my skin...
