    Short Rider frames

Okay, I'm posting this because my room mate does not have an account yet for some reason.

We are both SS riders and she is looking for a new frame to build up. Her current frame weighs about 3.5lbs and she's trying to stick to that weight and run 26'' wheels. The reason she wants a new frame is the '99 Moab 3 does not have disc tabs and she has to use a chain tensioner which she hates. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what company i should direct her to? She's 5'0'' and less than 120lbs so the lighter the better.
    Thanks for the help.

There are a lot of custom frame manufacturers who will make what she wants in her size. Does she have a budget? Aluminum, steel, carbon, titanium?

Her budget...does not include a custom frame. Material doesn't matter so much as weight which she wants to keep in the 3.5lb or less range. I've suggested alot of custom frames but she doesn't have the cash to drop on one and can't justify it to herself. We are enthusiasts not racers so dropping 1k+ on a frame is a big deal. I think she was looking at the 300-500 range

Check out On-One Inbred 26" Limited Ed ss 26" frame. It might work? ETT may be just a little long it's around 21.5" but maybe you could use a smaller stem. Frame is $250.
On One Inbred 26er Single Speed Ltd Edition
Other thoughts would be to check out frames that also accept 24" wheels. Hard to find, but maybe others have some ideas.

That's actually the bike i have and it's a 5lb frame and she can barely lift my bike that's only 28.5lbs. I think that's the direction i'm going to start her in since it seems all we can find in a ss frame is steel unless i can find a used frame off something else.
