Please help with bike build color scheme

I'm looking to build up a Surly Cross Check in Hospital Foam for the wife (Anniversary gift). I really need some help in color coordinating everything, since I apparently don't know what I'm doing. I get laughed at every time I dress the kids.

Anyway, it's a frame-up build. She really likes pastel colors and her favorite is turquoise. However, I don't think it would go well with this yellowish-green color. She also doesn't like pink.

Wheels and cranks are already done, but they are just silver. Main component colors that I'd need help on are:

    Handlebar tape
    Saddle
    Headset
    seatpost collar
    brake lines?
    chain?

Just can't picture what would go well with this Hospital Foam color.

    For reference:

    Thanks for any input.

Ooh, I concur, a soft lavender purple would look good on that!

Purple is easier to find than turquoise, but don't give up on turquoise. The key would be to find a dark turquoise. Check out this green/turquoise bike about half way down the page - The Bird Wheel | SNEAK PEAK: Specialized & Globe Bikes :: New for 2012. I just fell in love with it.

Personally, I'd go white with a few blue accents: white saddle, handlebar tape, cables, etc. Blue chain ring bolts, derailleur pully bolt, possibly seat collar and headset. Don't go too heavy on the blue.

I forgot to mention that you can get blue bolts at Toronto Cycles.

I'd stick with the black. Doesn't show dirt or blood! At least that's why all the socks I wear mtbing are black...

wondering if she doesn't like pink, maybe lavender wouldn't be her choice, although it probably would look good. If you want subtle, maybe white and pewter accents.
