    The JOD Trilogy

    Jewell of D(enial) stars in this past weekend's hottest mountain biking video trilogy. Watch her maneuver up, over, around and through anything that stands in her way along the Viejo Tie and Chiquita trails.

    Though the trail would sometimes win a small victory:

    JOD would triumph in the end:

    JOD Trilogy:

    Viejo Tie (Please right click and select Save Target As...)
    Follow Jewell of D(enial) down the Viejo Tie.
    Duration = 8:52
    File size = 66.9 MB

    Upper Chiquita (Please right click and select Save Target As...)
    Once again Jewell of D(enial) leads the way down Chiquita.
    Duration = 7:17
    File size = 55.0 MB

    Lower Chiquita (Please right click and select Save Target As...)
    Though only a minor part in this video, Jewell of D(enial) steals the show.
    Duration = 6:11
    File size = 46.7 MB

    Great Post!

    So nice to see great pics of a woman rockin' out on her bike. The pictures really captured the moment.

    I'd love to ride down there with you guys, sometime. Just need to wait for a broken finger to heal....

    Well said! Those are some great pics, thanks for sharing. You are indeed a tough one!!! The SoCal trails still freak me out.

    Hey, thanks for all the nice compliments. It was a killer trail with lots a challenging "stunts" to try. I didn't feel totally comfortable riding my burner on all the stuff, so I grabbed Terminaut's RFX with a whole lot more travel and beefiness and floated over some of the harder stunts.

    Excellent riding, pictures, and videos. JOD, did you land feet first on that bail-out? The bush obscured a good look, nice reaction.

    I've got to get down to those trails even if I walk so many sections - including the P.O. I saw so much red in the videos it must be the trail from P.O. hell.

    great inspring shots but I can hardly look at them without wincing due to the lack of armor. We know you are working on that, dear.

    Shoot, with JOD's cat like reflexes, she managed to land on her feet.

    No PO infections for me. A big thanks to Dirty D for giving me a PO wipe for my forearms.

    Very nice riding, JOD! If I'm ever out your way I'm sending you a note to check out your trails. Please do the same if you're ever headed to Colorado. Would love to ride with you sometime.

    You're right, I cringed as we were riding down the first portion of the trail. We used Ivy Block and it seems to have done the job. I'm prone to getting P.O. even if I stare at it, and here we are it's Thursday and no P.O..... Wohooo

    ( The JOD is catlike almost Terminaut and she always lands feet first )

    No doubt I'll get in touch with you if I'm lucky enough to get out to Colorado in the near future. It seems like I've been to all the other states west of the Mississippi, but I just can't get my butt out to Colorado. It's very high on my "places to go ASAP" list and not just for the MTBing, but my for the winter sports as well (ahhhhhh, I do miss skiing...grew up in NoCal with tons of Tahoe skiing, but nadah close to here in San Diego). Thanks for the compliment!

    I really don't know if I landed on my feet or what. Maybe I did. No, I hit my shoulder somehow, because I was bruised. I know there's a video of the crash, but now I can't find it. And, I don't have any PO. I don't know why, cuz I hit tons and tons of it. Oh well, somebody likes me up there. Thanks for the compliment, by the way.

    JOD rides the Burner. She borrowed Terminaut's RFX w/ Lefty for some of the more challenging sections.

    JOD's skills are quickly out growing the Burner.

    The "stunt" bike...

    The Burner is my bike I built a few months back. The one are bandit is the "stunt" bike I borrowed for some of those stunts. It's Terminaut's (sp?) ride. It was my first time down Chiquita, so I didn't have the guts to try some of that stuff with only 3ish inches of squish. 5 inches was killer. It was a beast of a bike (for me). I didn't really ride it other than a few stunts, but it seemed to get me through the bigger stuff. He has it set up very nice!
