Today Only: 20% off PricePoint Gift Certificates (greater than $250)

Great way to save 20% especially stacking with other sales.

So you can stack these with any other sales they have?

After selling a bunch of 20%-off gift cards, I'll be surprised if Pricepoint continues to have the "$100 off $499" style discounts in the future. But if they do, stacking it with the gift cards would be a best-price-ever situation on a LOT of items.

Just stacking the 20% discounted cards stacked on current individual sale items certainly enables some good values, but nothing mind blowing.

Probably also worth mentioning that the only other case I can remember of discounted gift cards was Speedgoat in 2012. They went out of business in 2013, leaving any "never expire" gift cards worthless. Hopefully Pricepoint is healthier.

The motivation to offer this does seem to be "We desperately need cash, right now!"
That's what made me worried when I saw it.

It's like banking with pricepoint, minus the insurance. Spend it quickly.

Seeing it from PricePoint's perspective, this is like a "crowd-funded" (ie. Kickstarter) loan. Wonder what kind of deal they're trying to strike, with a rapid need for capital. Maybe they're buying out old '13 build kits from a big mfg, with others maybe looking to put out an offer, like JensonUSA (see their OEM Shimano sale). I'm just making presumptions; I don't have inside info. I think this can really turn out to be a good deal. Basically free money if you buy from PricePoint anyways.
