    Titus/On One USA frame sale

Just got their email newsletter and noticed 3 things on sale through Monday. Great prices --

@ Scandal 29er frame (tapered head tube, swap out dropouts, great geo) for $229
@ Titus X Carbon full sus frame with RS Monarch RT3 rear shock for $849
@ Titus X Carbon full build with RS front shock and X9 components for $2299

I got my On One Lurcher during a one-day sale like this for a screaming price last year. I have put miles on it and am real happy with it.

I got that email last friday too, and it ate at me all weekend- But I had to put it to rest! Now the mission, get that box off the porch, before someone else! LOL!
It was just too crazy of a price to pass up and for me, that X Carbon has been my "gotta have someday" like everyone has over something.

I caved to the great prices too -- and now have a Scandal frame (19.5" black anodized finish) coming my way!

$229 for this frame is crazy.

I will build it up SS with a rigid On One monocoque carbon fork and tubeless wheelset.

Got my Scandal frame. Always a good sign when you can pick up the 29er frame, box, packaging material and all with one finger.

Great frame at a super price!

Noticed today that the On One UK site is running bargain prices on the 29er carbon Lurcher frame again. Got lots of time on mine and love it.

Why did you went from Lurcher to Scandal? I am currently riding with my On One Whippet. I love the geo and looking to move for bigger wheel size. What I have understood is that I can get same geo with Lurcher/Scandal/Race 29er. Just can't figure it out which is the way to go for my new marathon/endurance racing frame.

Arisaast, the main difference between the Scandal and the Lurcher is whether you prefer your frame to be made of aluminum or carbon.

They are both light, have the same geometry, have swapable dropouts, and have the same tapered head tube and thus accept the same fork options.

I really like the geo of my Lurcher (set up for geared AM riding with a Reba) and my steel 29er Inbred (set up for bikepacking with a rigid fork).

The reason I got the Scandal was so I could have a light 29er set up for SS riding.

Does anyone know if there are any additional costs when ordering from On-One's UK site? The prices they have on the Lurcher and Inbred SS are crazy but the USA site wont match. Just curious if there are import charges or if what you see when you checkout is all you will pay.

There can be import charges due on delivery (~9%). Whether it happens can be hit or miss.

~9% isn't too bad at all. I have never ordered something like this internationally but everyone that owns the frames speak highly and the prices are too good to pass up.

    Thanks for the info!

for anyone interested when I emailed the USA site they stated that they couldn't match the low price on the Lurcher but they did say that effective Monday 6/10/13 they will have a special new price on them. So, heads up regarding that at least.

    Titus/On One USA frame sale

I have ordered tires, lights, gloves, clothes from On One UK to Oregon. Never paid extra, but it was not a large item like a frame.

In general, I have found that these
occasional frame sales by On One/Planet X/Titus -- both in UK and US -- are worth paying attention to. Can get excellent frames at ridiculously low prices.

Thanks eugenemtbing. What is the normal wait time for delivery? Not looking for exact numbers but just hoping for a general idea.

I will hopefully be ordering the Inbred SS 29er (special) and the Lurcher (black/grey) at some point this weekend. My first two builds!

Could use this on the LTD Edition to run gears. Thought about using it to run a cassette on my Pompetamine:

^^I converted a single speed to a 1x9 a while back with one of those. Didn't last too long, it was too much of a hassle dealing with wheel changes in my opinion.

I'm waiting as well. I'm ready to buy the ss ltd, but wanted to see if portland would put it on sale as well. It's sitting at 175 w/shipping in my cart and would like to know if Portland would match or come close.

    Titus/On One USA frame sale

The current carbon 29er Lurcher frame sale hasn't gotten much play in this thread. This is a screaming price -- $322 -- for a great carbon hardtail frame. I have lots of miles on mine, run SS, geared, rigid and with 100mm Reba. Looks like they still have 18", 19.5" and 21" frames in stock.

I haven't seen the Lurcher sale price yet by Titus/On One USA, but this just popped up on their FB page: $1500 for their carbon 29er full sus Rockstar frame and Monarch RT3 shock.

Did you have to contact On One to get a tracking number? The reference number they sent me does not come up on TNT International's tracking.

I am assuming it was delivered by USPS. Is it delivered International Express mail? My frame recently shipped. Now I am just anxious to get it!

You are right, the Sales Order # doesn't reference the shipment on TNT's site. I had to inquire with On One. The customer service folks replied back in a day or so with the tracking number. It was sent via USPS, but not sure if it was Int Express or not - probably so...

    Many thanks!!

I sent an email this morning regarding tracking. Hopefully I will hear back shortly.
Would like to be here when the frame arrives as I don't want to waste time waiting in line at my local post office.

Care to elaborate? I was giving that frame some thought at one point so I'm curious to hear some real-world feedback. Geometry looks good on paper and the price makes it even more attractive. How is the actual ride and frame quality?

It's a Fileline that has a few more issues than just the rear brake mount. I'm still debating on keeping it or not after the refusal of a partial refund; Titus USA plans to resell it upon it's return.

I almost went with the Fileline myself since it sounded like a pretty good deal for what was supposed to be a minor issue. Saw your other post regarding the head tube reaming issue so I hope you get it all sorted out.

    On One replied.

    W. from On One asked me to provide him with the tracking number so he could locate the package. WTF????

I just emailed them asking for a tracking number, they email me back asking for a tracking number so they can help.

All they have given me is a reference number... I gave them that. Makes me wonder how carefully they read and answer their emails.

By the time I get the tracking number, the frame will be here. NOT impressed.

I had great service and com with Portland on my frame buy. I wouldn't have even considered buying a new frame but when I got that email with that discount I knew I couldn't find a used one for that (if I could find one at all) and they even threw in some stuff I needed at NC- nothing big, but for me, it was a big deal. Sometimes it's the little things that make the big difference and that was my experience. Everyone I've dealt with has been great, but that also comes from applied study of MTBR and other's experiences.

Regarding the price drop that was supposed to happen a couple Mondays ago... I was thinking about waiting but jumped on the UK deal that Saturday. Glad that I did now. I am having the same issue with the tracking number. I emailed once to check the status of the order but I was an idiot and didn't ask for the tracking number. I have no complaints about On-One's customer service as I have asked questions to both UK and US with helpful responses.

My only worry is that I ordered on 6/8/13 and have yet to receive my order. I figured it would take a while being an international order but working on my 3rd week after reading about others receiving their orders fairly quickly has me a bit anxious. I did order the Inbred SS LTD and the Lurcher so being a larger order I assume that could slow things down. I appreciate everyone's helpfulness though. Newer to MTBR (posting at least) and I am impressed with the community.

    Titus/On One USA frame sale

I just started putting together the 29er Scandal frame I got on sale. So nice having lots of spare parts hanging around -- all I needed was the frame, headset and seat post -- which I got for well under $300!

Will be a super light SS without even trying!

    Titus/On One USA frame sale

Now the 29er Inbred SS frame is on sale for $170. Great price. I have miles on my sand-colored version of this frame.

Just got the email about this sale as I was out riding my SS 29er Scandal, which I got from them on sale a few weeks ago for $230.

Love the geo and feel of these 29ers.

nice job on the 29! I'm building my X on Friday- I had a hard time swapping everything from my current bike- ended up with lots of new cool updated stuff. My riding buddy was over last night and I said, can't wait to ride it and get the scratches over with so I can enjoy it even more! Also, love the photo of a dirty bike in the dirt!
